Waylib Photos - Photography by Wayne Edwards | About

Sports/Action, Events photography based in Kelmscott, WA.

I grew up in Harare, Zimbabwe and developed a love for everything equestrian when I purchased my first horse at the age of 17.. A 16hh chestnut Anglo Arab who was a nutter but would jump anything.. Growing up in Africa meant I got to experience the magnificent wild life and diversity from an early age and I spent every spare minute I had in bush taking photos with an small point and shoot Olympus XA2 35mm camera. I suppose this is when my photographic journey began.

In 2001 we made the huge decision to leave Zimbabwe and start a new life in Australia.. Both of our kids began horse riding lessons and I started taking photos of them and their friends at various competitions.

Over the years I have learnt and changed my style of equestrian photography to a point that I am now happy with. One thing I can guarantee is that I will never stop learning or evolving and I am very fortunate in that I get to travel to various parts of Western Australia and photograph at some of the biggest events in the State. You will often find my images in various publications across various media including Hoofbeats magazine and An Eventful Life which showcases events from across the world.

Thank you for visiting my site. I hope that you enjoy my photographs as much as I enjoy taking them. If you would like me to take photos at your event, please send me a message and I will try and fit you in to my schedule.

Until we meet again..
